Priya Ravindran
Hello! My name is Priya Ravindran. I am 21. I am a recent graduate from the State University of New York at Oswego with a double major in Global Studies and Journalism. I also have a minor in French. The Journalism faculty at Oswego have taught me a lot about publishing good-quality articles. My job with the director of Facilities Services writing for the school website (oswego.edu) has given me first-hand experience about writing for the Internet and researching the efforts of SUNY Oswego in regard to its Sustainability Initiative.
My tryst with the Internet started with my blog that was mandatory for my Internet Politics class. I loved the experience and responding to other readers about their comments. I mostly focused on South-East Asian politics, but I have now included politics around the world in general. If you are interested, you can visit my blog at http://selflessdoubt.wordpress.com/. Feel free to leave a comment! As a college student, I have written a plethora of articles including smoking cessation, eating disorders among college students and how to eat healthy. I have also written a couple of articles for my school newspaper 'The Oswegonian' in my Junior year. I would have liked to write more, but I was handling 19 credits every semester, as well as a reporter position and camera person with the school's television channel WTOP. Writing has its charm and so does television. The learning experience is different and both are equally enriching. I have also learned to handle media events and PR calls through my internship with Senator Joseph Lieberman.
I have a variety of interests as you will probably see with my articles. I enjoy politics, literature, travel, films, certain sports, history, dance, music, almost everything except Science and Technology because my mind does not bend naturally in that direction. I have worked as a Desk Attendant in my dormitory for three years and have learned a lot about campus life through this experience. It has also taught me to interact with random people about various topics.
i hope you will have a good experience reading my articles. Happy reading!
